Jacob Williams, MA, LPC (Founder)
As a former teacher, I have seen firsthand the impact that conditions like ADHD, PTSD, anxiety and learning disabilities can have on performance and daily life. This is what led me to study psychology. I wanted to help treat the issues that I saw holding back my students from achieving their full potential within my classroom – and in the outside world.
For this purpose, I choose to provide Neurofeedback therapy (also called Neuromodulation therapy).
Clearing Emotional Hurdles
While training to be a therapist, I began practicing as an in-home clinician. I specialized in working with people after they were discharged from long-term psychiatric hospitalization. It was during this period that I received intensive training to provide Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I find DBT to be flexibly structured as it can be paired with treatments like Neurofeedback therapy.
The intense DBT process has been helpful for many of my clients, helping them achieve daily stability and also work towards resolving trauma.
Being non-invasive, pain-free and drug-free, Neurofeedback therapy is safe and effective for children as well as adults. Significantly, the treatment’s approach allows people to clear the emotional hurdles blocking them from succeeding in school, at work, in physical activity or in interpersonal relationships.

My Approach
I approach everyone as an individual and tailor my approach specifically to their needs. I lead weekly DBT group sessions, in addition to providing individual therapy and Neurofeedback therapy sessions.
I believe it is important to resolve the past and that we all must live in the moment. I hope to guide people to experience more effective moments of joy – and develop greater tolerance and coping mechanisms for all the other ones. My aim is to do this by helping my patients bolster stability in the moment and eventually process the past through therapy.
